An exciting project is underway to help Macon Program for Progress and our Parents as Teachers program to better serve the children and families in our community.
Since 1964, Macon Program for Progress has worked to improve quality of life for Macon County children, individuals, and families through the Head Start early childhood education program, HUD rental assistance, WIOA, and Parents as Teachers. Parents as Teachers is a program that promotes early development, learning, and health of children by supporting and engaging their parents as caregivers as their child’s first and most important teacher. In order to best serve the parents and children in this program, money raised by Touch-a-Truck will go directly to this program.
For more information on Parents as Teachers, please contact Meghan Cribbs at (828) 524-4471 x 310.
Touch-A-Truck is a fun family event to be enjoyed by kids of all ages! Where kids can rub elbows with their hometown heroes who own & operate their favorite construction trucks, fire engines, police cars, etc.
This event will be happening on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 10am to 2pm, with a Sensory Hour (no sirens) from 12pm to 1pm.
